The idea is to give an axiomatic description of what a stable homotopy
category is, general enough to include every example you could think of.
This includes the K(n)-local category, the equivariant stable homotopy
category, the derived category of a ring, and derived categories of
comodules over Hopf algebras.  This allows one to perform standard
constructions of ordinary stable homotopy theory in these categories.
